The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 28% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12 (see trends).
Today’s Approval Index rating reflects a slight improvement from yesterday’s record low of -14. The number who Strongly Approve ticked up a point while the number who Strongly Disapprove has moved down a point. Today is the President’s third straight day with an Approval Index rating in negative double digits. He has never had four straight days with such low ratings.

So his polls continue to trend downwards. And as time passes, more and more people think that Obama’s policies are contributing to the recession. Also, a whopping 60% trust their own judgment on economic matters more than they trust the President’s.
Also unchanged this month are the overall findings on economic judgment. Sixty percent (60%) of voters say they trust their own judgment on economic issues more than the president’s. Twenty-seven percent (27%) trust Obama more, and 14% are not sure.
In February, only 49% trusted their own economic judgment more than Obama’s.
It's not just Rasmussen, though... several recent polls have shown similar results.
And so it goes. In my opinion, his numbers will continue to drop either now or next week… after PresBo increases how bad the 10-year deficits will get. He’s slated to increase that amount by a couple of trillion when he “updates” his deficit forecast next week.

Just wait until it dawns on folks there will be no COLA raises in either Social Security and other programs.
ReplyDeleteThat folks trust their own judgement better than the President's is good and a sigm of a healthy democracy. We have no need for philosopher kings.
