Merry Christmas

Today is not a time for politics, nor is it a time for trite images and platitudes of snowmen and Santa Claus. Today is the day that we celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ, the son of God.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

Rejoice in God's love on this day of all days; rejoice in the blessings and love of friends and family.

Merry Christmas, my friends.

  1. Perfect. Thank you for the good reminder. May the light of Jesus fill your heart and your home with His love and truth this Christmas and in the year to come! It is interesting that the first announcement of His birth was to shepherds, the outcasts of society. They were the first 'evangelists', bringers of 'good news' and they told everyone they saw. Our world needs good news these days but much more than political or financial good news - we need news that is able to reach deep inside us and make us new, people who truly care about others and concerned about truth.
    Merry Christmas!

  2. Thanks, Joy. We focus too much on politics the way it is... the modern climate forces us to do so. But for that one day, at least, I wanted a different message.

"For unto you is born, this day, in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord"

    Amen.
