Why, yes. Yes, there are. In fact, THREE recent polls are worth mentioning.
First, most people believe that tax cuts will stimulate the economy. According to a recent Rasmussen report, 63% of respondents believe tax cuts will stimulate the economy, and 51% believe tax increases will hurt the economy.
“Seventy-two percent (72%) of Republicans say tax cuts would help the economy, as do 68% of unaffiliated voters and 52% of Democrats. Seventy-six percent (76%) of GOP voters and 58% of unaffiliateds say tax increases would hurt the economy, but just 27% of Democrats feel the same way.”
PresBo better pay attention. He’s looking at large margins here, and if he wants his party to retain Congressional seats, they need to rethink their course.
Another study found that , despite massive campaigning, support for PresBo’s budget is statistically unchanged. So nothing to comment on, right? Wrong. Because those results came after PresBo engaged in a massive sales campaign to convince people his budget is a good idea. Without those efforts, it is likely support would have plummeted. So the question is, how long can PresBo keep it up? His budget is a bad idea, and people are beginning to realize it.
“People who feel positively about his budget fell from 44% in late February to 39% this week. People who feel negatively about the budget increased one point to 27% in the same time frame. And after all that budget talk, people who claim to not know enough to have an opinion increased 10% from 30% to 33%.”
The third poll showed that people don’t blame PresBo for our economic troubles. However, support for the way he is dealing with such issues as budget deficits and his plans for dealing with economic recovery is falling.
If you ask me, PresBo spends far too much time fixing blame on other people and trying to re-invent government to conform with with his ultra-liberal ideology. He doesn’t spend enough time trying to determine what actions will actually be effective and be beneficial to us normal citizens. This combination will go a long way towards contributing to PresBo’s ultimate failure as President.
