Two of the central promises of President Barack Obama's health care overhaul law are unlikely to be fulfilled, Medicare's independent economic expert told Congress on Wednesday.
The landmark legislation probably won't hold costs down, and it won't let everybody keep their current health insurance if they like it, Chief Actuary Richard Foster told the House Budget Committee. His office is responsible for independent long-range cost estimates.
Not much to be added to that. Left for you to determine for yourself is this: Did Obama and company know these promises were false and lie to us, or were they deluded by their ideology into believing their own rhetoric?

Despite the rejoicing from Republicans today I feel like this is destined for the Supreme Court where it will most likely rest in the hands of Kennedy. This is largely the reason I have chosen not to mention this on my blog today. It just seems to me to be a first step in a long process.
ReplyDeleteTal, ObamaCare has ALWAYS been destined to be decided in the Supreme Court. This lower court decision overturning the law, brought as it was by a majority of the states, just improves the outlook a smidge.
