Don't Forget To "Spring Forward" Tonight

Today is March 12, 2011, and that means that Daylight Savings Time kicks in tomorrow morning at 2:00 AM. Now, as most of you won't be AWAKE at 2:00 AM tomorrow morning, don't forget to set your clocks forward tonight before going to bed.

For the record, I hate daylight savings time. It's a major inconvenience and, in modern times, makes little sense. I've railed against it in the past, and I won't do so in depth right now. If you'd like to read some essays on ending DST, here are a few links.

  1. I lived in Arizona for four years...which is the only state that avoids Daylight Savings Time. I came to realize that they are mostly right....it doesn't give you anything of value. You perceive something is different but otherwise, this is a waste of time.

It'd be curious to raise this as a state issue...act like Arizona and just refuse to move forward. But I doubt that you could get either Republicans or Democrats to line up on this issue.
