TSA Commits Child Abuse

Here we have a 6-year old girl flying with her parents and who is selected for a TSA pat-down. Her parents tried to get them not to grope their little girl, but TSA agents were adamant. So the girl was subjected to a full-blown groping session in the middle of a busy airport. TSA says that their agent "followed proper current screening procedures."

Of course she did. However, the point is that those screening procedures are invasive and border on sexual assault. Here, watch the video and judge for yourself.

Would you want your 6-year-old child treated in this manner?

If this had happened in a public park, that woman would be in jail right now. I'm sorry, but lacking any indicators that the girl was involved in a criminal act, this is an unacceptable way to treat ANYBODY, much less a child.

  1. You have no choice. Some Islamic nut sees that you give a free ticket to six-year old kids. He comes back a month later with some kid and he's got box cutters on the kid somewhere. You don't find that and now he uses those as a weapon. These fools are looking for just about any weakness you have in your travel system. Unless you really get at the heart of this mess and start making real threats to the Saudis....that's the only way to finish up what got started.

  2. Ripley, are you serious? This logic you're using, taken to it's logical conclusion, means that each and every passenger wishing to fly on an airplane should be strip searched prior to boarding.

Let's forget the fact that our Constitution says the government can't conduct searches with probable cause and a warrant... such wholesale groping of our citizens would violate the very principles under which this country was founded.

IF they had some reason to believe the girl may be committing a crime or being used in such a manner as you describe, then a search may be warranted. But they had nothing... the metal detector beeped, as I understand it. Use the wand, let her empty her pocket and rescan her, whatever.

    Sexual abuse isn't warranted... EVER.
