Many Obama critics would claim that Obama has had no successes, and in some ways they'd be right. Legislatively speaking, his "successes," such as ObamaCare and the stimulus package, are hugely unpopular with voters. In the latest poll on this subject, 58% of respondents want to repeal ObamaCare, so that can hardly be counted as a resounding success.
So, when looking for a "success," we have to look at something that a clear majority supports him for. The first such event I can find is the killing of bin Laden. After bin Laden was killed, Obama enjoyed a brief jump in his popularity, and Democrats boasted that Obama had done what Bush never could. One of his advisers, when recently asked if Obama was really capable of handling the job, even told the interviewer to "ask bin Laden."
That's one. The next is the assassination of Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born cleric with ties to terrorists. I'll include this one as a success under my previous definition, even though there are Constitutional problems with the killing. Our Constitution says no American citizen can be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process. Although there was no due process that I'm aware of, the killing was hugely popular.
The third success I can think of is the recent death of Libyan leader Qaddafi. Yes, few Americans approved of his starting a war in Libya, and also true that a few months ago Obama claimed that we were out of it entirely and that what remained was a NATO operation. Regardless, Obama and Democrats are claiming credit for the death of the Big Q, and nobody seems to really miss him.
Those are the three things that Obama takes credit for that are hugely popular, so those are his successes.
Really. President Obama's biggest successes so far in office are... to kill people. This administration is good at killing people and really ticking off Americans with their intrusive policies.
Is this the kind of success that we WANT to see in a President? We just ignore ham-handed handling of the economy and foreign relations, all because he is good at killing people we wouldn't mind seeing dead?
If he gets elected on this record, we've set the bar incredibly LOW for "success."

Ron Paul's Budget Proposal
This is a breath of fresh air, and it illustrates why Ron Paul is the man we need to be our next President.
Look, the Democrats want to keep spending more and more. The Republicans talk about dramatic spending cuts, but their idea is $3 or $4 trillion OVER TEN YEARS... with the majority of the spending cuts coming near the end of the 10-year projection.
I have ridiculed the GOP proposals in the past, because they'll never happen. Future Congresses have complete control over future budgets, and cuts planned for future years will never happen. I have said numerous times that, since we have a $1.5 trillion deficit, what we need is $1.5 trillion in spending cuts... this year.
Well finally, somebody running for President gets it. Presidential candidate Ron Paul yesterday released a budget incorporating $1 trillion in spending cuts in a single year, and that would bring us to a balanced budget in THREE YEARS. Here's a chart showing spending using this budget as compared to current estimates.

Now THAT'S more like what we need. Want details? Read on...
You can find the complete details of his plan here:

But here are some highlights:
There are more details, and I urge you to read the plan yourself.
In my opinion, Presidential candidate Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate to propose a realistic level of spending cuts. Romney recently revealed about $2 trillion in NEW SPENDING he wants to do... so you be the judge.
UPDATE: Here's a link showing some details on the Romney's $2 trillion in new spending he wants to institute. How will this reduce the deficit and reduce spending?

But here are some highlights:
Cuts $1 trillion in spending during the #rst year of Ron Paul’s presidency, eliminating #ve cabinet departments (Energy, HUD, Commerce, Interior, and Education), abolishing the Transportation Security Administration and returning responsibility for security to private property owners, abolishing corporate subsidies, stopping foreign aid, ending foreign wars, and returning most other spending to 2006 levels.
Makes a 10% reduction in the federal workforce, slashes Congressional pay and perks, and curbs excessive federal travel. To stand with the American People, President Paul will take a salary of $39,336, approximately equal to the median personal income of the American worker.
Lowers the corporate tax rate to 15%, making America competitive in the global market. Allows American companies to repatriate capital without additional taxation, spurring trillions in new investment. Extends all Bush tax cuts. Abolishes the Death Tax. Ends taxes on personal savings, allowing families to build a nest egg.
Repeals ObamaCare, Dodd-Frank, and Sarbanes-Oxley. Mandates REINS-style requirements for thorough congressional review and authorization before implementing any new regulations issued by bureaucrats. President Paul will also cancel all onerous regulations previously issued by Executive Order.
There are more details, and I urge you to read the plan yourself.
